The festival, which runs June 18 to 28, has earned the distinction of its Wizard of Oz–inspired tagline, “There’s no place like here.” Nearly 200 films will screen in the historic Castro district, including the opening film, I Am Michael, which stars James Franco as an “ex-gay” pastor, and the closer, Bare, which showcases Dianna Agron as a small-town girl who falls for a female drifter played by Paz de la Huerta.
