In the midst of the season of light, we pause to remember, to revive, and to recommit in ceremonies around the world.
Tuesday was World AIDS Day, reminding us that the epidemic is not over — there are an estimated 36.9 million people living with HIV globally. And while treatment and prevention methods have improved greatly in recent years, they are not accessible to all. Moreover, many people who have the virus are not aware of this fact, according to public health experts.
