The Red Ribbon Ride, a bicycling fund-raiser to benefit nine Minnesota AIDS agencies, will be held July 13-16. The four-day, 300-mile ride will begin and end in the Twin Cities, covering a route through the southern tier of the state. Money raised at the event will support the African-American AIDS Task Force, AIDS Care Partners, the Aliveness Project, Clare Housing, Hope House of St. Croix Valley, Minnesota AIDS Project, Open Arms of Minnesota, Park House, and the Rural AIDS Action Network. The 2005 ride drew 170 riders, who raised more than $560,000 for the AIDS organizations. For more information about the ride or to register for the fund-raiser, go online to www.redribbonride.org.
