Danielle Staub isn't getting her own Real Housewives spin off a la Bethenny -- at least not yet. But at least part of the infamous housewife's past might be the subject of a new scripted series based on the true crime book Cop Without a Badge.
Staub is featured in the book -- long before she became a Bravo reality star and maybe lesbian, she got arrested, and details of her criminal past are featured in the book.
Right now, The New York Post is reporting that the series is being shopped around by a couple of former writers from Law & Order and The Cosby Mysteries. But according to the paper, several studios are reportedly interested.
Staub has made headlines in recent weeks for suggesting she's in a relationship with lesbian singer Lori Michaels. The two recorded the duet "Real Close," which they performed together on the Bravo show Watch What Happens Live.
