Alleged Bathhouse Pic of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis Sells for Thousands

Dean Martin can still draw a crowd -- on eBay at least.

A photo that appears to show the mid-20th-century singer nude and showering with comedian Jerry Lewis sold for $4,494.99 on the digital auction platform.

"Photo from the Frank Branda collection who was a close friend and worked for Jerry Lewis in the 1950s & 1960s," read the seller's description. "The Evans Archive logo is of course, not on the actual photo and purposely covers Dean's privates."

Martin and Lewis performed in nightclubs and in media together until the duo split in 1956, after which the crooner launched a successful solo career; he later became a member of the famous "Rat Pack."

Branda was Lewis's driver and assistant. The photo initially sold in 2018 at Sotheby's in a collection that also included a picture of the pair in a steam room, which sold on eBay for only $375, reports Brian Ferrari's Blog.Dick Van Dyke Show actor Morey Amsterdam appears to be in this scene as well.

The collection was described as "4 candid photographs (8 x 10 in.) of Lewis and Martin in a steam room and shower, Lewis posing modestly, Martin less so." In the $4,494.99 photograph, Lewis is covering his privates while Martin appears to be fully exposed. The pics were listed as being shot at the Palm Springs El Mirador Hotel in 1952.

In his assessment, Ferrari noted that the photographs are "very clear" with a high pixellation, which leads him to believe they are authentic. He even Photoshopped away the Evans logo, which obscured Martin's penis in the eBay preview. Assess for yourself on his blog.
