Anton Shebetko Manipulates Men (Photos)

One wants to hear the dialogue that happens during a photo session with Anton Shebetko. 

“Put all these bananas in your mouth.”

“Yes, I know that pineapple is scratchy, but please pull it farther back.”

“Be careful, or that egg yolk will get in your eyes.”

Shebetko’s talent pool as far as models go is not only refreshingly normal and everyday, but, one assumes, extremely compliant. 

Anton Shebetko is an artist and photographer from Kiev, Ukraine. A former culture journalist, he started to create his works during a long-term vacation in Bangkok. In his art he focuses on questions of gender, themes of youth, transformation of a body, and sexual attraction. He tries to honestly and openly visualize his experiences and life. He turns photography into a game, preliminary ritual dances, and makes weird erotic architecture with help of his models.

An exhibition of "Gospel of Leg," 2015, will be on view through September 9 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
