The latest news about Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second female justice appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court and the first to officiate a same-sex wedding. Appointed to the nation's highest court by President Bill Clinton in 1993, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg generally votes with the liberal wing of the court. Born in 1933, the Bronx native went on to Cornell University and later Harvard University for law school. However, she would later transfer to Columbia University. Forbes magazine named her one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in 2009, and she has received honorary Doctor of Law degrees from Princeton and Harvard.
