Dr. Warren Carsten Andresen is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at St. Edward’s University. His research focuses on the homicides of gay and transgender people. Dr. Andresen’s work has appeared in CrimeReads, Homicide Studies, Noir City, and Women & Criminal Justice.
He has just completed a study of 587 homicide defendants who raised gay and trans panic defenses within the United States from 1970–2023.
