Eating Out, the debut feature film from out director Q. Allan Brocka (Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World) took two top prizes at the Phoenix International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. The comedy, about a straight college student who pretends to be gay to woo a girl via her out best friend, won the festival's Best Film prize as well as the audience award for Best Gay Film. Writer-director Brocka was in attendance, along with cast members Jim Verraros, Emily Stiles, Ryan Carnes, and Rebekah Kochan. The completed film will have its official world premiere April 3 at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.
