Trump's first Supreme Court pick dissents from a pro-LGBT ruling and takes further right-wing stances on the travel ban and gun rights.
Conservative justice Neil Gorsuch -- who's shown animosity to women's rights and ambivalence, at best, to LGBT rights -- is now expected to serve for at least three decades on the high court.
Gorsuch's appointment comes after a historic vote Thursday to end the U.S. Senate's filibuster rule for SCOTUS nominees, according to NPR.
