After calling out the remaining House Democrats who haven't cosponsored ENDA, Freedom to Work is now setting its sights on five House Republicans -- including a former vice-presidential candidate.
The Gay and
Lesbian Victory Fund, a national political organization that
works to elect openly LGBT people, has posted a video on
YouTube revealing an antigay rant made by Oklahoma
representative Sally Kern. Representing the
state's 84th district, Kern criticized gay people for
indoctrinating children, lamented the growing number of gay
politicians, and said gays will "destroy this
nation." The gay community, she says, poses a
"bigger threat, even more so than terrorists or
Islam," to the United States. The video, called
"I'm Listening," was posted on March 7 and has been
viewed more than 295,000 times.
