Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum won the Louisiana primary Saturday evening, earning him another win in the South.
With half of the precincts reporting, former Pennsylvania Sen. Santorum won the primary with 49% of the vote, and 26% of the vote going to former Massachusetts Gov. Romney, the Washington Post reports. Seventeen percent of voters chose former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and 6% of votes went to Rep. Ron Paul.
Romney has lost primaries in seven Southern states, including South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. Romney has, however, won primaries in swing states with large voting populations like Florida and Ohio.
