If anyone's life is dramatic enough to be retold for audiences, Chelsea Manning's would qualify. A new play premiering in Philadelphia, The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning, tells the story of the young Army intelligence analyst who leaked the largest amount of U.S. classified documents ever. Railing against war, Manning would eventually be jailed and, later, come out as transgender. Six different performers will play Manning in the play.
The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning opens on Friday, April 29 at 8 pm, for a total of 16 performances, through May 15, 2016. All shows are at the Proscenium Theatre at The Drake, 203 South Hicks Street. Click here for more info.
