MTV extends casting call for next Real World

As MTV prepares to broadcast the 10th season of the groundbreaking reality series The Real World this summer, the production company behind the show has announced that it is extending its search for participants for the 11th season through May 9. In a press release, Bunim/Murray Productions said it is continuing its nationwide search for new, unique, interesting individuals to join the upcoming cast for a show that will film over several months this summer. Though weve already interviewed some great candidates, wed love to find even more people who are very open, well-rounded, and comfortable about their livesand willing to share it on national television, said executive producer Jon Murray. Emphasizing that the show, to be set in Chicago, is looking for people of all sexual orientationspast seasons have included gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals as well as a passel of straight folks--Bunim/Murray specified that applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 24 and should send in a 10-minute videotape (in any format) showing why you should be cast on The Real World. There is no right or wrong thing to say on a tape, said executive producer Mary-Ellis Bunim. We just want to get to know you. Who are the people closest to you? What is your family like? What are your hopes and dreams? What sets you apart from other people? Additional information and tips on making an audition tape can be found on Bunim/Murrays Web site, bunim-murray.com.
