The New York Post reports that out actor Gary Beach, currently sailing across the stage as The Producers flamboyant Roger De Bris, will not reveal on whom the creation is based. Cant tell that, Beach remarks, or Ill be dead. He intimates that the character is perhaps a collective one, adding, If in your lifetime youve been in at least two musicals in the theater, then you definitely know a Roger De Bris.
