Singer Sir Elton John is suing London newspapers the Daily Mail and The Sunday Times for libel, his publicist told BBC news Tuesday. The papers, who reported on John's behavior at a social event for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, allegedly reported that he stunned party guests when they were told they were not to speak to the legendary pianist unless spoken to. A spokesman for the musician said that the allegations of his behavior at the annual White Tie and Tiara Ball he hosted were a "ludicrous story" and "entirely false," BBC News reported. The singer's spokesman added that legal actions would be taken if details of the allegation were published anywhere else. Both The Sunday Times and the Daily Mail were reported to be currently dealing with the complaint.
