Britney Spears to
make comeback in Vegas?

Taking a cue from gay-fan favorites Elton John and Celine Dion, former teen pop idol Britney Spears may be eyeing a comeback show in Las Vegas, according to a report in Wednesday's edition of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"She wanted to launch her comeback at a major hotel casino here. The deal breaker was, she didn't want [Kevin Federline] to be part of the Vegas scene. Everybody loves a comeback," said talent broker Jack Wishna. He hopes to have her performing in a Las Vegas strip venue during 2007-2008 for upward of $20 million a year.

Spears, who filed for divorce from husband Federline on Tuesday, made headlines the last time she was in Vegas in 2004, when she married childhood friend Jason Alexander. She had the marriage annulled less than three days later. (The Advocate)
