Taking a cue from
gay-fan favorites Elton John and Celine Dion, former
teen pop idol Britney Spears may be eyeing a comeback show
in Las Vegas, according to a report in Wednesday's
edition of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
"She wanted to
launch her comeback at a major hotel casino here. The
deal breaker was, she didn't want [Kevin Federline] to be
part of the Vegas scene. Everybody loves a comeback,"
said talent broker Jack Wishna. He hopes to have her
performing in a Las Vegas strip venue during
2007-2008 for upward of $20 million a year.
Spears, who filed
for divorce from husband Federline on Tuesday, made
headlines the last time she was in Vegas in 2004, when she
married childhood friend Jason Alexander. She had the
marriage annulled less than three days later. (The
