New York's LGBT
Center Honors Ilene Chaiken and Others at Annual
Fund-raiser

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center in New York, the largest LGBT center on the East Coast, will celebrate its 11th annual Women's Event and the 25th anniversary of the organization on Saturday, November 1. The event will honor Ilene Chaiken, creator and executive producer of The L Word; Stephanie Gibbons, executive vice president of marketing and on-air promotion for FX; and Lisa Sherman, executive vice president and general manager of Logo. The night will also serve as a salute to The L Word, in its sixth and final season, with Pam Grier and other cast members scheduled to attend.

The funds raised from Women's Event 11 will be used to sustain an array of programs, services, and activities that serve women throughout New York and the surrounding area, including mental health, social services, youth programming, cultural programs, breast cancer awareness, and educational forums.
