A restrained performance by Kathleen Turner highlights this broad dramedy about a devoutly religious woman whose quest to become Catholic of the Year is challenged by, among other things, her pregnant lesbian daughter. In Kawa, an acclaimed psychological drama from Down Under, a New Zealand businessman is forced to reveal his lifelong secret that he is gay. The documentary This Is What Love in Action Looks Like chronicles the protests that followed a teenage boy in Tennessee being sent to a reform camp for being gay. Both are available on DVD Tuesday.

The Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's 1971 masterpiece now sparkles in Los Angeles like fine champagne. As old frenemies stuck in a soapy love quadrangle, peerless divas Victoria Clark and Jan Maxwell headline this reunion for aging chorines, but the show's secret weapon is Elaine Paige, who entertains maybe-gay cater waiters with her impassioned "I'm Still Here."
