An all-drag stage production of the hit TV show The Golden Girls will usher in the pride season in San Francisco this month. The Golden Girls: The Play stages two popular gay-themed episodes starring Heklina, Cookie Dough, Matthew Martin, and Pollo Del Mar.

"Not only is it pride season, but gay marriage is all over the news right now," said Heklina, legend of the weekly club Trannyshack, in a press release. She will play Bea Arthur's character Dorothy Zbornak. "One entire episode deals with Blanche's brother Clayton marrying his lover Doug. Audiences went crazy for that episode last year. Now that gay marriage is legal, it has all new meaning!"

The show will play Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through June at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory, 1519 Mission St. For reservations contact goldengirlssf@earthlink.net. Trannyshack.com
