For weeks reporters have been trying to get U.S. senator David Vitter of Louisiana to comment on Keith Bardwell, the Louisiana justice of the peace who last month refused to marry an interracial couple.
Now Mike Stark of The Stark Report says the reason Vitter has refused comment is that he's never read Loving v. Virginia, the landmark 1967 Supreme Court decision that ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage.
Stark cornered Vitter on camera and asked for his comment. Vitter's response? "I haven't read the case." Vitter went on to say, "quite frankly, I'm focused on health care."
