Gay activists Corey Johnson and Allen Roskoff gave New York state senator Carl Kruger a piece of their mind on Wednesday after Kruger cast a vote against marriage equality.

After the politician was leaving senate chambers in Albany, Johnson and Roskoff "told Carl off," making comments about the unmarried politician's sexuality and saying they'll support a challenger when Kruger runs for reelection next year. Roskoff, a prominent New York City Democrat, told the New York Daily News, "We screamed at him. We really let him have it. We made it clear to him that he didn't hear the end of it. Right outside the senate chamber. He wouldn't answer our questions."

Kruger represents parts of Brooklyn in the New York state senate. Roskoff along with Johnson, a correspondent for the gay blog Towleroad.com, told Kruger that they would support gay-supportive New York city councilman Lew Fidler for Kruger's seat in 2010.
