"We are incredibly moved by the outpouring of love and support from the community," write Mientus and Arden in a joint statement to "Both lifelong theatre lovers, we first met at the opening night of The Times They Are A-Changin' on Broadway [in 2006]. We have our fingers crossed for at least twice as long a run."

Following the engagement announcement, the couple tweeted to their well-wishing fans.
