Gay Theater Couples to Take Center Stage

Backstage romances will come out from behind the curtain in 'A Very Broadway Valentine's Day'.

A gay showmance is always something to sing about.

Couples from New York's musical theater community will put their love in the spotlight during the second annual A Very Broadway Valentine's Day.

Featuring musical direction by Benjamin Rauhala, the two intimate concerts will be held February 12 at New York City's 54 Below. The concerts will feature "many of Broadway's most romantic songs, and special stories from each couple," according to press notes.

Participating gay couples include Taylor Trensch and Max Crumm; Jake Boyd and Casey Garvin, Daniel Quadrino and Devin Lewis; and Jason Gotay and Michael Hartung.

Other participating couples include Matthew Scott and Kirsten Scott; Alysha Umphress and Cody Williams; Amy Spanger and Brian Shepard; Michael Tacconi and Elizabeth Judd; R.J Valliancourt and Sara Kapner; Kara Lindsey and Kevin Massey; Caroline Bowman and Austin Colby; Brendon Stimson and Catherine Charlebois; and Mairi-Doman Phaneuf and Marc Phaneuf. Santino Fontana will also make a special appearance.
