Gay makeup artist Bobby Khamvongsa was found dead with multiple stab wounds in West Hollywood near the Beverly Center over the weekend. Police arrested Richard Herrera, 29, who also went to high school with Khamvongsa in Kalihi, Hawaii, according to KITV News. Khamvongsa's family does not know what kind of relationship the two men had.

Police in Arkansas Search for Killer of Trans Woman
Marcel Camero Tye, a 25-year-old transgender woman in Arkansas, was murdered over a year ago, but despite criticism from local advoctes, investigators say they haven't stopped looking for her killer even though the case is cold. According to a new report on KTHV, Tye was found on Highway 334 in St. Francis County, Ark., in March 2011. She had been shot to death and, most likely, dragged beneath a vehicle as the killer fled the scene.

Friends of Dharun Ravi Ask Court for Probation, Not Jail Time
Friends of Dharun Ravi, the Rutgers University student convicted of webcam spying in the high-profile suicide case of Tyler Clementi, have urged the court for probation, not jail time, in sentencing. In letters filed to the court Friday, friends portrayed Ravi as a good person who had no malicious intent in the recording and broadcasting of an intimate encounter between Clementi and another man. Clementi committed suicide in 2010 by jumping off the George Washington Bridge following the incident.
