Pride season continued across the globe this weekend with events in Rome and Warsaw. People danced in a public fountain in France, where marriage equality is now the law.
Voters in Maryland followed lawmakers and approved marriage equality in 2012, and that gave revelers a lot of reason to celebrate in Baltimore this year.
'We've made this country a little more equal,' the president said.
The current Capital Pride celebration traces its history to the first LGBT festival in Washington, D.C., which was held in 1975. Saturday's festivities celebrated the 38th annual gay pride parade to take place in the U.S. capital.
