Mother!
While it's still not clear what the auteur director Darren Aronofsky's latest flick is actually about (the reviews are loathe to give away its conceit), it has been let on that it's a psychological thriller with camp elements and apparently plenty of laughs, according to A.O. Scott's New York Times review. The film from the director of the pitch perfect Black Swan, which delved into a woman's psyche like no other film since, perhaps, Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie, places Jennifer Lawrence as the tormented housewife married to a character (whose name we never learn) played by the excellent Javier Bardem. The great Michelle Pfeiffer returns to the big screen as half of a couple, along with Ed Harris, who arrive to shake-up the not-so-blissful marriage of Lawrence and Bardem. As for the actual plot, you'll have to buy a ticket to know for sure...
