APLA fund-raiser
set for August 14 in Culver City, Calif.

Joel McHale, host of The Soup on E! will host a theater benefit to raise funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles at the renowned Actors' Gang at the Ivy Substation in Culver City, Calif., on August 14. McHale will anchor a lineup including the premiere of two original short plays, music by Jared Douglas, and a celebrity reading of Christopher Durang's For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, an homage to Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie. All proceeds from the program will benefit APLA. The performance begins at 7 p.m. VIP seating for the performance is priced at $50; general admission tickets are $30.
