Assault charges against Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio Molina, who was accused of attacking blogger Perez Hilton, have been dropped.

Molina was charged with punching Hilton after the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto in June. Hilton called Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am a "f****t" at the awards, setting off a fracas that led to the assault. When Hilton posted his account of the encounter, the reaction from fans and readers was less than supportive, especially since he used the slur against someone else.

"I've always known that a lot of gays didn't like me," he told The Advocate a week after the incident, "but after this it felt like no gays liked me. It was one of the worst weeks of my life."

As part of the charges being dropped, Molina has agreed not to contact Hilton without the mediation of an attorney over the next year, nor can he carry any weapons, according to the Toronto Star. He agreed not to come within 100 feet of the Cobra nightclub, where the attack took place, and he must donate $500 to a local women's shelter. Molina also issued a written apology to Hilton.

A $25,000 civil suit filed by Hilton (ne Mario Lavandeira) against Molina is still pending.
