Stephen Colbert suggests that gay people already serving in the military
under "don't ask, don't tell" should flip the script on the way they perform their duties. Instead of being secretly gay in the armed services, Colbert suggests service members remain openly gay but stay secret about their service so they can work as spies.
For the segment, Colbert featured the viral video of reporters pointedly asking Sen. John McCain about the enforcement of "don't ask, don't tell" and of former president Bill Clinton's revelation last week that he was assured by Gen. Colin Powell the law would not result in witch hunts for gay troops.
