Change.org is calling for former Arkansas governor and presidential
candidate Mike Huckabee to disavow his friend the Reverend Lou Engle -- a man
who urged Uganda to pass the "kill the gays" bill.
This summer Huckabee praised the work of Engle, who traveled to Uganda earlier this year to convince that nation to pass a bill that could punish homosexuality with life imprisonment and, possibly, the death penalty.
"[Engle] called upon the government of Uganda to be firm and hold on its righteous stand against the evil. He mentioned that homosexuals have penetrated the educational system and Ugandans must be aware of the evil," an eyewitness to the event reported.
