passing of Prop. 8 is the first time anything of
significance has gone so wrong for gays and
lesbians -- we've had no other choice but to
stand up and fight. This weekend 12,000 people-plus
descended on Los Angeles's Silver Lake district, proving
that when faced with discrimination, if the
gays have to choose between equal rights and a
rum and diet Coke, they may fill up a flask -- but
they'll march.
