Diane Anderson-Minshall, The Advocate's editor at large, was the featured speaker at The North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce 9th Annual Dinner Gala, dubbed a Celebration of Excellence, on April 24, 2014. Anderson-Minshall, who was given an elaborate glass excellence award by the Chamber, spoke about her long career in LGBT media, and the great importance of the Chamber's program mentoring and promoting LGBT young people.
The Chamber's annual Business Excellence Awards were also presented at dinner to a number of companies and civil leaders in the community. "The Business Excellence Awards recognize the best of who we are as business and community leader," said Larry Paschall.
The North Texas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Chamber of Commerce is the largest LGBT business organization in Texas. It is a membership driven, not-for-profit organization consisting of more than 300 business entities and community organizations. The chamber focuses on the economic vitality of the region and the success of its members. Founded in 2004, the chamber works to achieve equality through economic development and advocacy.
