Yet, often the importance of pronouns and how they help us express ourselves is forgotten or devalued. We always ask for a dog's pronouns, so why should we treat humans any differently? The Advocate's Ariel Sobel helps break down some of the most common pronouns and offers tips on how to ask someone else how they express their gender identity through words.
