       Leisha Hailey
            will star in a spinoff of Showtime's hit drama The L
            Word. Hailey, who plays Alice on the show,       has
            signed on to do a pilot for the proposed show,
            Variety reported Wednesday.     
L Word creator and executive producer Ilene
            Chaiken will write and produce the pilot, which is slated to
            begin       production in December.     
       The final season
            of The L Word will       begin airing in
