The Bearded Ladies Cabaret in Philadelphia is jokingly offering a fun type of gay conversion therapy or 10,000 pounds of glitter for the safe return of its “big, gay mobile performance unit,” better known as the Beardmobile.

“The Beardmobile is a big, gay mobile performance unit, glitterfully outfitted for socially-distanced performances and political actions,” the drag performance group described the vehicle on its website before the theft.
The Beardmobile was stolen from the Allens Lane Art Center in Mt. Airy on April 18. Police told the Bearded Ladies they believe the thieves disabled motion-activated cameras at the center, but information about the case has been scant.
A pun-filled missing poster posted to social media described the Beardmobile as a ‘Big gay cabaret-on-wheels (read: box truck in drag)’” that “responds to praise and cash tips.” The group is offering 10,000 pounds of glitter or the "painless" conversion to a gay sexual orientation for the Beardmobile's safe return.
John Jarboe, the founder of the Bearded Ladies Cabaret, said the Beardmobile is a mainstay at area LGBTQ+ events like Philly Pride.

“It’s got a whole lot of love and a lot of history,” Jarboe told Axios Philadelphia.
The group said they only seek the safe return of the Beardmobile, with no questions asked, and are not interested in pressing charges.
