Lady Bunny's 'Wig' Premiere Was Filled With Laughs, Glitter and Wigs

On Wednesday, NewFest in partnership with NYC Pride and SVA Theater presented a screening of Wig, the new HBO documentary profiling the New York City drag scene and drag festival Wigstock. The screening was the closing event for OutCinema, a three night film festival produced by NewFest during WorldPride. After the film, Advocate contributing reporter Alexander Kacala moderated a panel discussion with subjects Kevin Aviance, Charlene, Lady Bunny, and director Chris Mourkabel (Me at the Zoo, Gaga: Five Foot Two).

The documentary is now available for streaming through HBO.
