Organizers of the 14th annual Syracuse, N.Y., AIDS Walk/Run, held Sunday, say the event raised a record-high $128,579 for AIDS Community Resources, according to the Syracuse newspaper The Post- Standard. The previous record amount raised was $89,000 in 2004; last year's walk raised $83,000. About 140 runners and 900 walkers participated in this year's fund-raiser. (The Advocate)
