Testing Day skills-building event set for March
31–April 1 in D.C.

The National Association of People With AIDS will hold its National HIV Testing Day skills-building institute March 31-April 1 in Washington, D.C. The event aims to strengthen the capacity of organizations and individuals to successfully promote National HIV Testing Day, set this year for June 27. The institute's theme this year is "Mobilizing communities to access HIV testing, prevention, and care: A positive perspective." The skills-building event will discuss topics such as campaign strategies and social marketing, behavioral interventions, partnerships and collaboration, and evaluation. The institute is open to health department administrators and staff, community-based organization employees, volunteers, community organizers, and HIV-positive individuals. The event will be held at the Washington/Silver Spring Hilton, 8727 Colesville Rd., in Silver Spring, Md. Registration must be completed by February 24.
