The 14th annual
Palm Springs International ShortFest and Short Film
Market will be held August 21-27. The event is the
largest short film festival and market in North
America.
The festival
screens over 350 short films from over 40 countries with a
concurrent Film Market facility open to filmmakers, press,
and industry members, featuring over 2,200
shorts.
The event will be
held at the Camelot Theatres, located at 2300 Baristo
Rd. in Palm Springs, Calif.
The festival
offers 20 awards in six categories. Awards include cash
and/or film production prizes. All submitted films are
eligible for film market participation.
Winning films in
Live Action and Animation categories are automatically
qualified for nomination consideration by Academy
of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the short
film categories.

special student film section with awards presented.
