Jim Marchese, formerly of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, supported Kevin Hart in tweets, saying a gay son would be a "curse" that "destroys families."

Former Real Housewives of New Jersey personality Jim Marchese -- arrested in 2016 for allegedly choking his wife, Amber Marchese on a Virgin America flight -- recently tweeted homophobic, hateful remarks in defense of Kevin Hart, prompting the ire of his gay former boss, Housewives mastermind Andy Cohen.

The button-pushing Marchese, who was on the sixth season of RHONJ, sided with Kevin Hart and his 2011 tweet in which the comedian joked about how he would beat a gay son. "Yo if my son comes home & try's 2 play with my daughters doll house I'm going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice "stop that's gay," Hart's original tweet read.

Although Hart had already stepped down from his Oscar hosting gig and finally apologized to LGBTQ people, Marchese headed to Twitter on Sunday to side with Christian conservative writer Carmine Sabia, who wrote that straight men agree that breaking a dollhouse over a boy's head is a good idea. In his initial tweet, Marchese praised Sabia and Hart writing, "So true NO STRAIGHT MALE wants his son to be gay. A gay son is a curse that takes away your family traditions."

But Marchese didn't stop there.

Even after he was roundly excoriated on Twitter for his homophobic views, Marchese doubled down by tweeting the definition of homophobia and denying that he hates LGBTQ people.

After Cohen described Marchese's comments as "on brand," the television executive continued to respond to outraged social media users about Marchese.
