An unmasked man berating an employee and using homophobic slurs at a California Marshall's store was reportedly identified as a former fixture of LGBTQ+ San Francisco.

Twitter and Facebook users claim the man is 52-year-old Timothy Gaskin. Gaskin was the host of the mid-2000s public access show OUT Spoken, which focused on San Francisco's LGBTQ+ community, according to the city's CBS affiliate. Gaskin hosted several other local TV and radio programs and launched a philanthropy-focused magazine in 2006. Gaskin's charity work placed him in the same circles as politicians including current California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Gaskin was allegedly caught on camera (see below) this week refusing to wear a mask at the Campbell, Calif., discount department store. He repeatedly berated a store employee, falsely claiming the worker would be fined $75,000 for asking him to leave because of Gaskin's refusal to wear a mask. The person filming Gaskin was subjected to antigay slurs and a racially charged statement before the video cut off. Another video shows Gaskin unzipping his pants (see below) and threatening to expose himself to the person filming him. Police were called to the store but Gaskin was gone when they arrived, according to TMZ.

Gaskin no longer works in television, but rather the meat import business, CBS reports.
