Gaga Has Bullying Message in Thanksgiving Special
Lady Gaga has taken her anti-bullying message to the I Heart Radio concert, where she performed a tribute to suicide victim Jamey Rodemeyer, then she went to a fundraiser with President Obama to raise the issue in person. And in her national Thanksgiving special broadcast on ABC nationally on Thursday, she didn't shy away from using the big platform to raise the issue with American families.
Gaga talked about being bullied in school herself, then performed a moving version of her anthem for self-expression, "Hair," in support of kids facing tough times in school.
"This one is for all the kids who are bullied in school who are afraid of being themselves," said Gaga, performing from her (highly decorated) school cafeteria. "And I hope that every day at school you remember that there is somebody that's fighting for you."
In the video below, watch the moment from Gaga, who also performed Born This Way, complete with its LGBT supportive lyrics early in the show.
