Rosie Undeterred by Attacks Over 'Bribe' to GOP Senators

Rosie

Rosie O'Donnell made a last-ditch plea to stop the Republicans' reverse-Robin Hood tax bill. Not surprisingly, the right wing pounced.

Before Congress passed its trickle-down tax overhaul Wednesday, out actress Rosie O'Donnell made an interesting offer to two moderate GOP senators.

O'Donnell was clearly trying to make a point about politicians being beholden to their donors -- why else would she send the offer via tweet? This was lost on Donald Trump's supporters, who love to attack her just as their cyberbullying idol does.

Stories were quickly produced by the conservative Washington Examiner and the Russian propaganda site RT that insinuated O'Donnell was in hot water for illegally "bribing" politicians (were they commissioned by Trump?).

O'Donnell was ultimately unsuccessful in stopping the regressive tax bill, but, as usual, we are inspired by her fight and determination.
