The Portland Trans Pride March organizing committee was thrilled to welcome the trans, gender-variant, genderqueer, gender-fabulous, and allied communities to the celebration June 17.

They state: ”We are a diverse and non-hierarchical collective of 25+ organizers from across the trans spectrum. This has been a consensus-driven process, designed to centralize the voices of those most impacted by transphobia and racism. We aim to celebrate the incredible gains made by our community, mourn the tragic losses we’ve faced this year, and stand in solidarity with our many brethren in the struggle.”

“Organized by Greater Portland Trans Unity and the 2017 Trans March Planning Committee, the 4th Annual Portland Trans Pride March is dedicated to Keeping Our Flame Alive — we will honor and celebrate the love in our hearts and the tangible, everyday power in our connected efforts and acts of solidarity with each other.“
