Over 150K people came to Charlotte, N.C., last weekend to celebrate. Read more below.
Pride, or Pride-like festivities, have been held in Charlotte since the 1970s. Last year, Charlotte Pride attracted 150,000 visitors over the course of its August 26-27 event. The parade grew to an historic record, surpassing other local parades as the largest parade in Charlotte. Other accomplishments in 2017 included a successful film festival, at which community members voted for a new rebranding; the new name, Reel Out Charlotte, debuted this year at the 10th annual LGBTQ film festival in the Queen City.
Charlotte Pride 2018 was just as successful as last year. Check out the joyous scene on the next pages. See more at CharlottePride.org, Facebook, and Instagram.
Thanks to Jeff Owen for the happiest Pride photos ever. See more of his work on his website and Instagram.
