Samantha Bee Apologizes for Ivanka Comments, But Not to Offended Men

After a week of scrutiny from numerous outlets, comedian Samantha Bee apologized on air Wednesday for calling Ivanka Trump a "feckless cunt" for posting pictures with her children as her father's administration rips babies from their immigrant parents' arms. However, her apology did not involve her bowing her head to the men on the right so offended by her comments.

About her use of the four-etter word, Bee acknowledged, "It is a word I have used on the show many times, hoping to reclaim it. This time, I used it as an insult. I crossed the line. I regret it. I do apologize for that."

She went on to acknowledge how the epithet is used as a slur against women and brings many back to some of the worst moments in their lives. "I never intended it to hurt anyone ... except Ted Cruz," she explained.

"Many men were also offended by my use of the word - I do not care about that," she added.
