Police in Germany found a teenage boy who's been missing for years hiding in the home of a man arrested for child pornography. Now the two men living in the apartment face charges of sexual offenses against the child.

Officers in Recklinghausen, Germany, were searching the home of a 44-year-old suspect when they found the 15-year-old boy hiding in a cupboard, according to the Associated Press.

"There is currently no indication the boy was held in the apartment against his will," reads a statement from police.

The child previously lived in a shelter in a nearby town and was reported missing by social workers about two and a half years ago, sources told CNN.

When police raided the home, they seized a number of electronic recording devices in the home. That includes a number of data storage units found by police dogs.

The 44-year-old living there has been arrested on child pornography charges. CNN reports another, older man living there was also arrested but has since been released from custody.

A judge on Saturday issued an arrest warrant on both men for a serious sexual offense against the child.

Authorities have not released the names of anyone involved in the incident.
