WATCH: Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor

Lifetime network has released the first clip of Lindsay Lohan as late screen icon-activist Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming biopic Liz & Dick.

True Blood's Grant Bowler will star opposite Lohan as late actor Richard Burton, to whom Taylor was married twice. The passionate affair between the two performers, which began on the set of the 1963 epic Cleopatra while both were married to others, captured the attention of the world.

“I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor," Lohan said in a statement at the time her controversial casting was announced. "She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

The film is scheduled to premiere in November. Watch the teaser below.
