On Sunday's episode of Last Week Tonight, host John Oliver took aim at a CBS News segment about a totally wacky new tech innovation -- the Salmon Cannon. Since so many rivers have been dammed, salmon can't reach their spawning areas and have to be physically transported upstream in order to procreate. Until now. The Salmon Cannon uses vacuum suction to shoot salmon through the air and over the dams. It looks as awesome as it sounds.
Oliver decided to try out the new invention in a less environmentally conscious way - by shooting it at his favorite celebrities. Watch Tom Hanks, Jon Stewart, Anderson Cooper, and Wanda Sykes take a hit from the Salmon Cannon.
